Ano Poli (Upper Town) — The atmospheric upper town with preserved Ottoman timber houses, Byzantine churches, the Trigoniou Tower viewpoint, and winding cobblestone streets above the modern city.

Rotunda of Galerius — A massive 4th-century Roman rotunda originally built as a mausoleum, later a church and mosque. The surviving interior mosaics are among the finest early Christian art in the world.

Arch of Galerius — The remains of a grand Roman triumphal arch built in 303 AD to celebrate Emperor Galerius's victory. The carved relief panels depict battle scenes and are remarkably well preserved.

Meze Spread — Thessaloniki's tsipouradika (tsipouro bars) serve round after round of small meze plates with every drink order — a social dining tradition unique to northern Greece.
