Marina Bay Sands — The 57-storey integrated resort features the world's largest rooftop infinity pool (hotel guests only), the SkyPark observation deck, a casino, ArtScience Museum, and THE SHOPPES luxury mall.

Local Food

Chicken Rice — Singapore's national dish — poached or roasted chicken served on fragrant rice cooked in chicken fat, with chilli sauce, ginger paste, and dark soy. Tian Tian at Maxwell is legendary.

Laksa — A rich, spicy coconut curry noodle soup with prawns, fish cake, and cockles. Katong laksa (cut with a spoon, no chopsticks) is the local variation. A perfect blend of Malay and Chinese flavours.

Char Kway Teow — Smoky stir-fried flat rice noodles with prawns, cockles, Chinese sausage, bean sprouts, and egg, cooked over extreme wok heat. The distinctive smoky flavour (wok hei) is the mark of a great plate.

Roti Prata — Crispy, flaky flatbread served with fish curry for dipping. Available plain or with egg, cheese, or banana fillings. Best at 24-hour prata shops in Little India.
