Little Venice — A row of 18th-century merchants' houses built directly on the sea's edge, their wooden balconies overhanging the waves. Now home to atmospheric cocktail bars offering the island's most famous sunset views.

Kato Mili Windmills — The row of 16th-century whitewashed windmills overlooking Mykonos Town and the harbor is the island's most iconic image. Originally used to mill grain from ships, they now stand as photogenic monuments to the island's maritime past.

Mykonos Town (Chora) — The main town is a dazzling maze of narrow whitewashed lanes, blue-painted doors, bougainvillea-draped walls, and tiny chapels. Deliberately confusing \u2014 designed to disorient pirates \u2014 getting lost is the whole point.

Paraportiani Church — A stunning asymmetric cluster of five chapels built over centuries, fused into a single whitewashed organic form that looks like a sculpture. Standing at the entrance to the old castle area, it is often called the most photographed church in the world.

Louza — Air-dried pork loin seasoned with pepper, cloves, and allspice \u2014 Mykonos's answer to prosciutto. Thinly sliced and served as a meze with wine, it is a protected local product.

Grilled Octopus — Tender octopus char-grilled over coals and dressed with olive oil and vinegar, often hung to dry on fishing lines outside tavernas. A Greek island classic that Mykonos does exceptionally well.
