Victoria Falls — The world's largest sheet of falling water — 1,708 meters wide and 108 meters high. The spray can be seen from 30 km away. A network of viewpoints along the Zambian side offers breathtaking perspectives.

Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park — A compact national park along the Zambezi featuring white rhinos, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and buffalo. Game drives and walking safaris operate within sight of the falls' spray.

Victoria Falls Bridge — A 198-meter steel arch bridge spanning the Second Gorge between Zambia and Zimbabwe, 128 meters above the Zambezi. The bungee jump from the center is one of the world's most famous.

Devil's Pool — A natural rock pool at the very lip of Victoria Falls where, during low water (Sep-Dec), you can swim to the edge and peer over the 108-meter drop. One of the world's most thrilling natural swimming pools.

Zambezi River Sunset Cruise — Leisurely boat cruises upstream from the falls at sunset, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and elephants along the riverbanks while sipping drinks as the African sun sets over the water.

Local Food

Nshima with Relish — Zambia's staple food — thick maize porridge served with a relish of vegetables, beans, chicken, or fish. Eaten with the hands by rolling a ball of nshima and dipping it in the sauce.

Bream (Tilapia) — Freshly caught bream from the Zambezi, grilled whole over charcoal and served with nshima and tomato-onion relish. Best enjoyed at riverside restaurants and local fish camps.

Vitumbuwa — Deep-fried dough balls made from maize flour, slightly sweet and crispy on the outside. A popular Zambian snack sold at market stalls and roadside vendors.

Ifisashi — A rich groundnut (peanut) sauce cooked with green leafy vegetables, often pumpkin leaves or kale. A beloved vegetarian dish served with nshima across Zambia.
