My Khe Beach — A spectacular 30-km stretch of golden sand once known as China Beach by American soldiers. Calm waters for swimming, excellent surfing in winter, and beachfront seafood restaurants. Consistently rated one of Asia's best beaches.

Marble Mountains (Ngũ Hành Sơn) — Five marble and limestone hills named after the five elements, honeycombed with caves, tunnels, and Buddhist pagodas. Climb Thuy Son (Water Mountain) for cave temples, a natural skylight, and panoramic views of the coast.

Dragon Bridge (Cầu Rồng) — A 666-metre bridge shaped like a dragon — the symbol of Da Nang — that breathes fire and water every weekend at 9 PM. The most iconic modern landmark in central Vietnam, dramatically lit at night.

Ba Na Hills & Golden Bridge — A French colonial hill station at 1,489 metres accessed by one of the world's longest cable cars. The Golden Bridge — held by two giant stone hands emerging from the mountainside — has become Vietnam's most photographed attraction.

Hoi An Ancient Town — A perfectly preserved 15th-century trading port with Japanese bridges, Chinese assembly halls, French colonial buildings, and hundreds of lantern-lit shops. The Saturday night lantern festival transforms the town into a magical scene.

Local Food

Mì Quảng — Da Nang's signature dish — wide yellow turmeric noodles in a small amount of rich broth with shrimp, pork, herbs, peanuts, rice crackers, and banana blossom. Unlike any other Vietnamese noodle soup — hearty and uniquely central Vietnamese.

Bánh Xèo — A crispy Vietnamese crepe made from rice flour and turmeric, stuffed with shrimp, pork, and bean sprouts. Wrapped in rice paper with fresh herbs and dipped in nước chấm sauce. Da Nang's version is smaller and crispier than the southern style.

Bún Chả Cá — A fish cake noodle soup unique to Da Nang — rice vermicelli in a clear fish broth with handmade fish cakes, tomatoes, and fresh herbs. A breakfast staple for locals, found at stalls across the city for 25,000-35,000 VND.

Bánh Tráng Cuốn Thịt Heo — A DIY wrap of thin rice paper, boiled pork slices, herbs, rice noodles, and fermented shrimp sauce (mắm nêm). A communal dish that is central Vietnam's favourite social food — messy, fun, and delicious.
