Corfu Old Town — A captivating maze of Venetian-era narrow streets (kantounia), elegant squares, churches, and pastel buildings. The Liston arcade and Spianada Square are its social heart.

Old Fortress (Palaio Frourio) — A dramatic Venetian fortress on a rocky peninsula with panoramic views over the town, harbour, and Albanian coast. Inside are a church, exhibition halls, and a lighthouse.

Paleokastritsa — Corfu's most famous beauty spot — a series of small turquoise bays backed by cypress-clad hills. Home to the 13th-century Theotokos Monastery perched on a headland.

Local Food

Pastitsada — Corfu's signature dish — braised rooster (or beef) in a rich tomato-and-spice sauce served over thick pasta. A Venetian-influenced recipe unique to the island.

Sofrito — Thin slices of veal braised in white wine, garlic, and white pepper, served with a rich sauce. Another distinctive Corfu dish with clear Italian roots.

Bourdeto — A spicy Corfiot fish stew made with scorpion fish, tomatoes, onions, and red pepper. Originally from the Venetian 'brodetto', it's fiery and flavourful.

Kumquat Products — Corfu is the only place in Greece that grows kumquats. Try kumquat liqueur, candied kumquats, marmalade, and sweets — all unique island specialties.
