Agadir Beach — A sweeping 10 km crescent of golden sand backed by a modern promenade with cafes, restaurants, and palm trees. Warm water, consistent waves, and year-round sunshine draw visitors from across Europe.

Agadir Kasbah (Agadir Oufella) — The ruins of the 16th-century hilltop fortress destroyed in the devastating 1960 earthquake that leveled the city. The Arabic inscription 'God, Country, King' overlooks the bay. Stunning panoramic views, especially at sunset.

Souk El Had — One of the largest souks in Morocco with over 3,000 stalls selling spices, argan oil, leather, ceramics, fresh produce, and Berber jewelry. More organized and less aggressive than medina souks.

Souss-Massa National Park — A coastal nature reserve protecting the mouth of the Massa River with diverse birdlife, including the rare northern bald ibis. Flamingos, dunes, and estuary walks in a stark, beautiful landscape.

Crocoparc — A well-designed park with over 300 Nile crocodiles, a cactus garden, and lush botanical gardens. A good family-friendly stop, located 14 km east of the city center.

Local Food

Grilled Sardines & Fish — Agadir is Morocco's premier fishing port — grilled sardines, sole, and sea bream fresh from the Atlantic at port-side restaurants. Simple preparation with lemon, cumin, and olive oil.

Fish Tagine — Agadir's take on the Moroccan classic — fish baked in a tagine with chermoula sauce (cilantro, garlic, cumin, paprika), potatoes, tomatoes, and preserved lemons.

Argan Oil Amlou — A thick, nutty spread made from argan oil, ground almonds, and honey — the Souss region's signature product. Drizzled on bread for breakfast or used as a dip. Available fresh at Souk El Had.

Msemen & Baghrir — Msemen — square layered flatbread, and baghrir — spongy semolina pancakes with a thousand holes that soak up butter and honey. Classic Moroccan breakfast, found at every corner bakery.
